About LCCWRT

The Loudoun County Civil War Roundtable (LCCWRT) promotes and further stimulates interest in all aspects and phases of the Civil War period.

The Roundtable meets the second Tuesday of the month except for January and February. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. Attendance is free for the first meeting.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in our country’s history during the Civil War.  Informed speakers discuss battles, leaders, and life on the home front. Audience participation is encouraged. This is a nonpartisan organization, so the views of both Federal and Confederates are honored.

Dues are $25 per family.  Our membership year starts in March.  Please make checks out to “LCCWRT.”  As a member of the LCCWRT, you will receive email alerts about the upcoming meeting as well as timely email notifications of upcoming tours and Civil War events in our area.  Please contact Barry Truluck ( wahoowndrs@aol.com) with any questions regarding membership or the email notification list.

Meeting Location

Unless otherwise indicated, our monthly meetings take place at the Thomas Balch Library, 208 West Market Street, in Leesburg.

Snow Emergency Policy

LCCWRT meetings are automatically cancelled on days when the Loudoun County School System cancels classes or dismisses students early from class for weather-related reasons.  Additionally, Roundtable Directors may cancel meetings when the weather system develops after the schools’ regular hours.  The Roundtable may post a notice on this website and send an email to those members registered with the Roundtable, time permitting.
