Join us on May 12 when our speaker, historian John Cummings, takes us through some “then & now” views of the battlefields of the Fredericksburg area.

John Cummings

John Cummings is a visual historian from Spotsylvania, VA. His presentation will discuss over a decade’s worth of research and analysis of war time photography in the Fredericksburg region. Included will be numerous “then & now” comparisons and the stories behind their discovery. A major portion of the program will focus on the battlefield documentary work of Union Surgeon Reed Brockway Bontecou.
