Civil War Trust “Park Day” at Ball’s Bluff

From the Friends of Ball’s Bluff:

Civil War Trust Park Day and Opening of the Tour Season at Ball’s Bluff

Come out to Ball’s Bluff on Saturday, April 5, 9:00 – 12:00 to participate in the annual “Park Day” cleanup. Each year, guides and other volunteers gather to do some “spring cleaning” which includes clearing and mulching the interpretive trails, picking up trash, and otherwise getting rid of the debris of winter. Extra hands are always appreciated. Some tools are available but please bring work gloves, rakes, shovels, etc if you have them.

That same day is opening day of the Ball’s Bluff guide group’s 15th season of organized battlefield interpretive tours. These are conducted by trained guides at 11:00 and 1:00 and are free. You need not help with the cleanup in order to take a tour.
