UPDATE: We are informed this tour has been cancelled. Sorry.
Here’s a local event, brought to our attention by a partner roundtable, which you may enjoy:
Sunday June 23, 10 AM, Manassas Battlefield. Join Garry Adelman on a journey in time to the Manassas Battlefield: Then and Now. By taking photos ranging from 1862 to the 1940s, and visiting the same place today, and in association with period accounts, Adelman will provide a glimpse into what the soldiers and veterans saw during and after the battle. This approach allows for a deeper understanding of the battles and battlefields. First and Second Manassas sites will include, Henry Hill, Deep Cut, Chinn Ridge, the Stone Bridge and others, time allowing.
The tour will meet at the Stone Bridge parking lot on Rt.29 at 10:00. We are looking to wrap up by 4:00. Garry has suggested that to save time bring a lunch along and the tour will break at some point to eat. Suggested donation – $10. Please share this announcement with any friends that you feel might be interested. There is no limit on how many can attend – the more the better! RSVP REQUIRED TO Michael Waricher .
