Manassas Battlefield: Then and Now Tour with Garry Adelman

UPDATE:  We are informed this tour has been cancelled.  Sorry.

Here’s a local event, brought to our attention by a partner roundtable, which you may enjoy:

Sunday June 23, 10 AM, Manassas Battlefield. Join Garry Adelman on a journey in time to the Manassas Battlefield: Then and Now. By taking photos ranging from 1862 to the 1940s, and visiting the same place today, and in association with period accounts, Adelman will provide a glimpse into what the soldiers and veterans saw during and after the battle. This approach allows for a deeper understanding of the battles and battlefields. First and Second Manassas sites will include, Henry Hill, Deep Cut, Chinn Ridge, the Stone Bridge and others, time allowing.

LOGISTICS:  The tour will meet at the Stone Bridge parking lot on Rt.29 at 10:00. We are looking to wrap up by 4:00. Garry has suggested that to save time bring a lunch along and the tour will break at some point to eat. Suggested donation – $10. Please share this announcement with any friends that you feel might be interested. There is no limit on how many can attend – the more the better! RSVP REQUIRED TO Michael Waricher .
