Brandy Station 150th Tour Update: Join the cavalry and JEB Stuart IV!

As of this writing, we have over 150 reservations for the special Brandy Station 150th tour on June 8, 2013.  Remaining slots for this free tour will fill up fast, so we urge you to RSVP.   Information about the initial meeting site, parking, and other details will go out by way of the RSVP site shortly.

However, there are two announcements we can make at this time:

The Loudoun County Civil War Round Table is so very pleased to announce that JEB Stuart IV, a direct descendant of the famous Confederate Cavalry General JEB Stuart, will be in attendance at this very special 150th Anniversary tour of the Battle of Brandy Station.  We wish to extend a heartfelt welcome to such an esteemed guest and we are very excited and pleased to learn that he and several additional members of his family have chosen to join us as we gather to remember the momentous events that occurred on the historic fields that surround the small village of Brandy Station 150 years later.  We especially look forward to greeting JEB Stuart IV and other members of his family as we tour this historic ground together.

We also wish to announce that several members of the famous cavalry living history group “Valley Light Horse” will be present to add some living sight and sound to the tour and provide vivid reminders of the great cavalry engagement that took place at Brandy Station on June 9, 1863.  Truly, this very special Sesquicentennial tour of Brandy Station battlefield will be one to remember.
