On November 1, at 7:30 PM, speaker Brian Boucher discusses the battle of Philomont in context with the Federal advance back into Loudoun after Antietam. The presentation is titled: The Aftermath of Antietam: The War Returns to Loudoun, and is scheduled on the 150th anniversary of the engagement between JEB Stuart’s Confederate Cavalry and Pleasonton’s Federal forces at Philomont.
Location is the Roswell Chapel Methodist Church, 37141 Snickersville Tpke, Philomont. The talk is preceded by lasagna dinner at Philomont Firehouse, prepared by PVFD Auxiliary, $10 adults, $6 children 5-12. No reservations required.
