The first reenactment ever held at Ball’s Bluff Battlefield will
feature1,000 reenactors and will be limited to 3,000 spectators.
Public events open on Thursday, October 20 at 7:30 AM with a Kick-off
at Morven Park. A panel discussion including historian Stevan F.
Meserve, our own Jim A. Morgan III, author Robert B. Greenwalt, and
Balls Bluff park manager George Tabb, Jr. will focus on the battle and
its significance. (This event is free to public, but reservations are

Saturday, October 22 with drill demonstrations, camp living history
displays, and a reenactment of the battle. Battlefield illumination in
the evening honors those who fell in the battle. Sunday events
include a reenactment of the Battle of Dranesville and a wreath laying
at the Baker Monument. The Virginia Civil War Sesquicentennial
HistoryMobile is on site both days.
NOTE: Tickets for the reenactment are $5/person for the designated
date. Only 3,000 tickets available. Tickets must be purchased online.
No tickets will be sold the day of the event.
